Sixty years of Princess Yachts

It was founded by three friends in a shed in Plymouth six decades ago.

This year, Princess Yachts, Britain's largest luxury yacht builder and a world-renowned luxury brand, celebrates its 60th anniversary.

To mark the occasion the company has released a series of films on YouTube.

The first features company founder David King reminiscing about the founding days of the business, when it was known as Marine Projects (Plymouth) and the creation of Project 31 - their first boat.

"Reaching our 60th anniversary is a momentous achievement that fills us with immense pride," said Will Green, Princess Yachts CEO.

Princess Yachts now operates in 119 countries and employs over 2,800 people worldwide

"It's a testament to the enduring commitment of our talented team, past and present, and the loyalty of our clients. This is not just about reflecting on our rich history of craftsmanship and innovation though. It is as much about looking forward to the next 60 years,” Will Green added.
